The article is good and all but what it doesn't mention is that you'd better have someone to help you with your dog in the event you have a flare-up or just a bad day. So many of us do not even have support for ourselves let alone our dogs. Just a thought!

Why don't you feature CATS on here? They are, to me, the most wonderful pets! I have a Siamese whom is 1 1/2 yrs.and she is my other daughter! lol! Try to come up with an article featuring CATS and I bet they'll be alot to respond!!!

My 13 1/2 year-old dachshund died in March and we got a wire-haired dachshund two weeks later - Toby Bear. He is a joy, cuddly and well behaved. He's a lap sitter and when I have him in my lap along with my lap top, it's interesting!

What happened to poor CATS. There are a lot of us that love our cats and do not own a dog. They are just as faithful and loving as dogs.

why are dogs always mentioned? I have a cat who has been a great source of comfort and they are much easier to take care of...I have nothing against dogs. I own one and I adore him..but my cats have always been there, sometimes even more..They are also much easier on the budget if someone cannot afford a dog..I'm just sayin'..hehehe

My baby Tut is a lab, he's 13 yrs old and I truly dont know would I would do without him.
He always seems to know when Im not feeling well and he doesnt mind helping me off the couch or out of the bed and he truly doesn't mind if we just stay in the bed or on the couch.

I have two GREAT dongs.. one is just my baby... and the other is.. my Boxer... after reading about balance dogs, I was curious as to how or where they are trained. It would be great to teach my boxer Baxter to help me out, since he follows my every step! Any way you can publish a site?

I love my beagle to death but she isn't a good balance dog. Her way of helping me is to put her nose on the back of my leg. I was wondering how we can have a dog trained to be a balance dog?

Truly my two dogs make this disease bearable. They warn me of upcoming attacks before they happen, cuddle when I'm blue, and the one even pulls me back up when I fall down the stairs! I swear I think they are just kids with fur because they are so smart and playful.

I have two shelter kitties who are bundles of love and joy. They seem to know when I'm tired and will cuddle me into a nap (nudging me awake, naturally, when it's their dinner time).

Prior to getting my dog, I was so depressed. it was the best thing i could have done to motivate me to walk again.

My husband was practicing his trunk exercises while in his chair, we would squat on the floor in front of him and he would give me or his daughters a kiss. It worked well. Then we got a new puppy and he was really bending over to pet the puppy. Only problem was we forget to put his seatbelt on and he fell right out of the chair on the floor. All was okay. The puppy and him had the best time rolling around on the floor!
