    In the late 1970s, before deciding to spend her life in smoky comedy clubs and cramped writers’ rooms, Henriette worked with Ralph Nader at his Center for Study of Responsive Law. Since then, she has been writer/producer on such shows as the Emmy Award-winning The Osbournes, and Michael Moore’s The Awful Truth, and a consultant for HBO's The Comeback. Henriette won her first Emmy for writing on Win Ben Stein’s Money. She has also appeared as an actress in many feature films and television comedies and, with Teri Garr, co-authored the book Speedbumps: Flooring It Through Hollywood.

    Liz Thompson was born in Ohio on an auspicious date, 9/11/51, but by the time the historical 9/11 happened, she was a deaf reporter. She received a successful cochlear implant the following year. She is married and has three grown children and four grandchildren. Her MS was diagnosed in 1987 but had been symptomatic since 1970. It has not slowed her down in the enjoyment of her life. She is a freelance writer, columnist, and recent author of her first book, Day by Day, The Chronicles of a Hard of Hearing Reporter, published by Gallaudet University Press. She is a writer for Hearing Health Magazine and enjoys gardening with her husband, knitting, baking, the local theatre, and is an avid reader, usually with two books going at a time. She is book reviewer for MSWorld.org and an Ambassador for her NMSS Ohio Buckeye Chapter.

    Allison Shadday is a licensed clinical social worker. For the past 12 years she has specialized in counseling the chronically ill and their families. Diagnosed with MS in 1994, Allison works passionately to serve and educate the MS community. She is the author of MS and Your Feelings: Handling the Ups and Downs of Multiple Sclerosis, published by Hunter House in 2006. She writes for several publications including Inside MS, Momentum Magazine, PN, MS Focus, and publications of Avonex Alliance and MSAA. Allison speaks nationally on behalf of the National MS Society, MSAA, pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, and other healthcare organizations.
